Galaxie 500 on vinyl
For the first time in many years the three original Galaxie 500 albums are available on vinyl — from the just-launched official Galaxie 500 store, fierybreeze.com, along with deluxe digital downloads (320k mp3 or Apple lossless files) of those recordings. Orders are being taken now and will ship out July 6.

I can’t begin to express how excited I am to see Galaxie 500 in the news. Hopeful for a reunion tour.

Very cool, but I would like to see the Luna stuff get the same treatment, especially Rendezvous. Is it really out of print? My ex has my copy, don’t think I’ll be getting it back anytime soon.

Unfortunately, we don’t own the rights to any of the Luna albums. I’m not sure if they’re out of print. I’ve heard that there is a warehouse full of them but they’re just sitting there. We’d like to try and buy back Rendezvous and Romantica since Jetset seems to be out of business. But we can’t afford it right now… maybe we could pull a Jill Sobule and ask fans to contribute money up front for their copies. That might only entail 500 people pitching in $20 bucks. Hmmm…. something to think about.
Best,
Britta

I would put forth 20 bucks in a heartbeat for that. Trying to find Luna on vinyl is a bit of a quest at the moment. Would love for Pup Tent, Romantica and Rendezvous to be released.
There is that copy of Days of our Nights on ebay that is always going for 100 plus. Craziness!

Dean & Britta:
Any chance of a Luna reunion? I’ve seen Luna (never with Britta) a few times. Some of the best shows were at Maxwell’s. Have two boys ages 6 & 3. They both love Bewitched. They know the words to most of the songs and sing along as we drive.
Not sure if you’ve even kick the idea around. You two are doing your own thing and either Sean and Justin are doing theirs.
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying we would all love another chance to see Luna. Please think about it. Hell, I may even bring the kids!
I hope all is and I wish you two the best.
BTW: Loved Black Postcards. I’m currently an elementary school principal. I included a review I wrote in my school news letter. I couldn’t put it down.
