Today Britta and I rehearsed with the band for our upcoming 13 Most Beautiful: Songs for Andy Warhol Screen Tests show at the Wexner Center in Columbus, OH later this week, the final Warhol show for us this year. We have been super busy in the studio the last couple of weeks, recording and mixing the thirteen tracks for the DVD release early next year. Basic tracks were recorded by the band at Bryce Goggin’s Trout Recording studio in Brooklyn, with a couple of additional sessions recorded by Dave Voigt at his place in Park Slope. Mixing handled by Britta, Mr. Voigt and Jason Marcucci.
Now available: the Cheval Sombre 7″ single, “I Found It Not So / Where Did Our Love Go,” the A-side mixed by Britta, with guitar by yours truly. We will be releasing the debut full-length CD by Cheval Sombre in the Spring of 2009 on our Double Feature label, an album produced by Sonic Boom.
